Newborn

Newborn photography sessions are a unique and special experience, capturing the early moments of a baby's life. Here's what you can generally expect during a newborn photography session:

Timing of the Session: Newborn photoshoots are ideally scheduled within the first two weeks of the baby's life. During this time, babies are usually sleepier, more flexible, and their features are still very newborn-like. Best time to book newborn photo session is during pregnancy, ideally on second trimester or earlier. You just need to provide me with your estimated due date. While it's challenging to predict exactly when your baby will arrive, but it will help me to plan their schedule.

Length of the Session: Newborn sessions can last anywhere from 2 to 4 hours. This allows for feeding, soothing, and the time needed to capture a variety of poses and setups.

Preparation: Before the session, ensure your baby is well-fed and comfortable. Dress them in loose-fitting clothing to avoid any marks on their skin. I am providing outfits and props for the baby, but feel free to bring anything you would like to use in photo session, sentimental items, scan photos, etc.

Temperature and Comfort: Newborns are sensitive to temperature, so the room where the photoshoot takes place will likely be warm. This helps keep the baby comfortable, especially when undressed for certain poses. Be prepared to bring extra clothing layers for yourself since it can get warm in the studio.

Safety First: Safety is the top priority during a newborn photoshoot. I am trained to handle newborns carefully and I will prioritise their well-being. Some poses may involve composite images where multiple photos are merged in post-processing to ensure the baby is safely supported at all times.

Parent and Sibling Involvement: Newborn sessions often include shots with parents and siblings. Discuss with me if you'd like to be part of these photos and plan accordingly.

Feeding and Soothing Breaks: Newborns may need breaks for feeding, diaper changes, and soothing. I will work around the baby's schedule to ensure they remain calm and content throughout the session.

Patience is Key: Newborns can be unpredictable, and the session may take longer than expected. Patience is essential to capture the best moments, so be prepared for breaks and adjustments.

Post-Session Viewing and Selection: After 2 weeks from photo session, Online gallery will be ready with edited images. This is an opportunity to select your favourite photos and discuss any additional products.

Remember, every newborn session is unique, and I will work with you to create a personalised experience that captures the essence of your newborn's early days.
